Club President gave me a call this morning and told me how perfet I would be for the job and listed all of the reasons why, including all of the member recommendations I received. As I was waiting for her to tell me when I could start, she gave me the word I dread. "However..."
However what?
And the however was that there were 5 other club members who recommended family members for the position. And although she said I was absolutely the best one of them for the job, I will not be getting it. She decided that, rather than choose one club family member over another to simply disqualify all the candidates and look for someone outside the club. She didn't want the other members to be upset if I was chosen, so she and the Board decided it would be in the best interest of the club.
Does that even make *sense*???
Frustrated right now... in so many ways.

Membership does not have its priveleges.
My guess is that she told every applicant that they were the best candidate..she just didn't have the juevos to make a decision...she is a lifetime government working liberal that is unable to make a decision for fear of hurting someone's feelings so she makes no decision at all and all are disqualified.
It seems sad for jcb, which it is, but I have learned all those things happen for a very good reason, let's wait to see what this one is....love, dad
