We have watermelons in our backyard!
The kids were thrilled to pick the two that were ready today...
Riley loved his so much! He kept thumping it like a drum...
and he didn't want to wait for me to cut it open to eat it!
But he did... and we had it for dessert tonight.
YUM! Nothing like fresh watermelon right from our garden.

Great summer photos of your kids!
As a kid, we accidently grew a watermelon in some of the front landscaping. Someone must have spit out a watermelon seed. By the time we noticed it, the melon was about the size of a grapefruit and we decided to let it go as far as it could. By the end of the season, we ate it.
my grandkids are the cutest!!!
The pictures are great! I'm sure the kids where thrilled to finally eat some.
